Women in the Church

About

Our women's ministry aims to prepare women to share their passion for God through Jesus Christ in all aspects for the happiness of all people.

The Women's Circle gathers at 6 PM on the second Monday of each month and at 10:30 AM on the second Tuesday in the church fellowship hall for fellowship, prayer, and the opportunity for members to give time, talents, and financial contributions to the work of the Lord.

What is WIC?

For the kerosene lamp to give light, fill it with oil.  The wick must rest in the oil, and the knob on the side is the control. Trim the wick regularly for the flame to burn effectively and keep the lamp chimney clean and clear. Similarly, the believer’s life is complete with the oil of the Holy Spirit.  As the wick rests and saturates in the oil, WIC rests in Christ and draws life and spiritual strength from His Holy Spirit. Any spiritual light radiating from the Christian is a result of the indwelling presence of Christ.

The knob on the side of the lamp represents the Word of God, by which the lives of believers must be daily regulated and trimmed in obedience to His revealed will. Impurities in the wick represent sins of the spirit, such as attitudes that hinder the work of the Holy Spirit or neglect of prayer and Bible study.  A dirty chimney is like apparent sins in life that prevent others from seeing the light of Christ there.

"For Zion’s sake I will not rest and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep silent, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth." -Isaiah 62:1
